Frequently-Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q: What are Basics & More™ fundraising fundamentals ecourses?
A: Basics & More™ courses are delivered to your inbox on a week by week basis. Why weekly? Through studies we know that approximately 5% of conference attendees actually act on what they’ve learned. Based on fundraising best practices and the latest research in brain science behavior, Basics & More™ fundraising fundamentals eCourses have been created to guide you incrementally toward navigating the waters of fundraising without feeling overwhelmed, implementing what you’ve learned, and getting your organization on the road to long-term sustainability.
To date, Basics & More™ eCourse topics have included stewardship (Power of Thank You), direct mail fundraising, board fundraising, monthly giving, nonprofit storytelling, online fundraising, foundation fundraising, major gift fundraising, writing your fundraising case for support, and more. Often imitated but never duplicated, Basics & More™ are the leaders in the industry because they get serious results and are the holy grail for organizations in it for the long haul.
These courses couldn’t be more flexible. There are no live webinars you need to be present for, nor will you ever need to be “in class” at a scheduled time. All podcasts and recorded trainings are available on demand. And, once you register, the materials are yours to keep, to re-use when you need a refresher, or to share with a new volunteer or staff member. So even if you can’t go through all of the class materials right now, you can read and listen at your leisure. There are no tests or quizzes, only solid information that you can review whenever you are ready. To reap the benefits, all we ask is that you review the lesson plans in order. It won’t work properly otherwise. But the timing? That’s all up to you!

Q: What is the Basics & More™ All Access Ticket?
A: The Basics & More All Access Ticket was created after we observed many of our subscribers, when registering for courses individually, were spending in excess of what my membership costs over the course of a year. Basics & More™ All Access Ticket gives committed learners the option to enroll for the entire roster of Basics & More™ courses for one low price.
Q: How does the Basics & More™ All Access Ticket compare to other membership programs on the market?
Honestly, there is simply no comparison. Most membership programs are a mish-mosh of webinars. No membership program or training comes close to providing the step-by-step, rinse-and-repeat system of fundraising success of Basics & More.
And only Basics & More™ recognizes that every individual prefers different learning styles and techniques. We incorporate a variety of mediums in every class – webinars, podcasts, written materials, and exercises – so you’re never bored. True fundraising success comes from understanding that everyone is responsible for fundraising. That’s why every course comes with the opportunity to enroll eight team members.
Q: Are some of these classes repeats?
A: We’re constantly in the process of revising and updating the Basics & More™ courses from one year to the next (for example, in our Year-End fundraising course this year, we included two all-new example booklets, one featuring Giving Tuesday campaigns and the other showcasing year-end email campaign examples from a wide variety of nonprofits) to keep them current with the latest fundraising strategies.
Even if you’ve already taken a couple of courses, you won’t want to miss this opportunity. Why? Well…
Each course costs less than $16.
That still sounds like an amazing offer, yes? Especially considering that the full package, even if you bought each separate course on an Early Bird basis, would amount to over $1600!
Q: I’d like to sign up but I need to access the Nonprofit Storytelling course before you have it scheduled to release. Would I be able to take it sooner?
We would be happy to share Nonprofit Storytelling | Basics & More™ with you earlier than the scheduled month of August.
Q: What if I leave my position? Do you offer a refund on the Basics & More All Access Ticket?
A: We normally offer an unconditional money back guarantee for the individual Basics & More™ courses, but we won’t be offering any refunds for the All Access Ticket. In this case, you’ll be granted access to an abundance of material for an unbelievably low price. These are tried and true methods that have achieved phenomenal results for nonprofits just like yours, and we have the testimonials to prove it.
Q: This looks fantastic and if it’s as practical as it appears and as practical as your testimonials make it out to be it is EXACTLY what I am needing in the coming year.
We have the infrastructure, but I need a plan and tips re: creation/execution of the plan. We are so small that we don’t & won’t likely have a Development Director in the near future. It is up to me (sounds familiar I’m sure). Would please clarify:
1: $549: Does this fee really allow me & up to 8 members of my team to attend ALL of the classes w/in the 2017 roster?
A: At the start of each course, you’ll receive a Welcome email with the opportunity to register additional team members (yes, up to 8).
2: Is it possible to review any of your classes online so that the principles can be learned/applied through repetition?
A: These are ecourses and the materials are yours to keep. We often have students who review courses months or even years later.
3: Are classes scheduled at a certain time each week? (The roster appears to be monthly, but references “Four Weeks”. What does that mean – 1 class per week for four weeks?)
Classes are typically released on Monday mornings at 10 am EST. Occasionally, if we’re working with new students, the schedule might shift to Tuesdays at 10 am EST.
Q. How does the three-part payment plan work?
A. We’re offering a three-part payment plan for the Basics & More™ All Access Ticket. When you sign up for the payment plan, you’ll make one $183.66 payment now. The remaining $183.66 payments follow in the next two months.
Q. I’m a nonprofit consultant. Can I sign up for the Basics & More™ All Access Ticket to share with my clients?
A. Basics & More™ courses were created to benefit small to mid-sized nonprofit organizations. We encourage you to register for our affiliate program for Basics & More™courses. Sign up here.
